About BSK

Bethesda Speech for Kids is a child-centered, family friendly practice that provides innovative, creative therapy for toddlers, school-aged children and teens. Parent /care-giver involvement is essential and observations of the therapy sessions are encouraged.

Individual Therapy
One on one/individual therapy, including: feeding, common oral-motor Issues, speech/articulation, receptive language, expressive language, social pragmatic language, play skills, etc.

Home Programs
Home programs are implemented to facilitate remediation and carry-over
of new skills. 1:1 therapy and group therapy is available. Treatment may
take place in the office, home or school.

Group Therapy
Group therapy focuses on social/pragmatic language skills. Drama therapy techniques are utilized to facilitate transitioning to more abstract play and
verbal problem solving. Improvisation and role playing is used.

Mandy S. Hart is a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competency granted by The American Speech/Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Mandy is also a Registered Drama Therapist, she has completed all of the requirements needed by the National Association of Drama Therapy (NADT). She continues with continuing education in both fields with extensive course work in oral-motor, feeding and articulation. She has been providing services in the Washington metropolitan area for the last 22 years.
